Anyways, four others from my class are staying at my hotel so we've been exploring the city together. Last night we had some fish & chips at a bar/restaurant in a hotel called Caulfield's Hotel then we stopped for some snacks to tidy us over for the morning and planned out our schedule for the next day.
Today we went to the Stephen's Green Hotel (where we'll meet the bus to the Glenn on Friday) to meet two others from our class but they didn't show so we had some lunch in St. Stephen's Green which is a large park of gardens. Apparently the land was originally common grounds used for public hangings, but it's very beautiful despite its past. Afterwards we headed over to Trinity College to see the Old Library and the Book of Kells. I'm so glad I paid the admission to see the real thing (only two of us did); it was a quite humbling experience to see something so old (c. 800 CE) that is handmade and so detailed. I couldn't take pictures of it but I have postcards of the pages I got to see in person.
